Apple Head Countdown

Let the shrivelling begin!

The submission deadline has passed and entrants are now feverishly working on their apple head dolls for the first-ever Caker Cooking Apple Head Doll Challenge.

All of the apple heads will be posted at the end of October and the public will decide the winner. The winning entry will receive a fantastic collection of cookbooks, courtesy of the good people of Random House Canada.

To show that I'm a team player, I'm making an apple head doll, too. Only I won't be in the competition because I'd probably lose win. But I'll post the week-to-week progress of my head so you can witness its magical transformation.

Apple Head Update
Week #1
Still looking fresh and pretty. Well, maybe just fresh.

Apple Head Update
Week #2
Something's starting to look a little creepy. Okay. A LOT creepy.

Apple Head Update
Week #3
Dare I say it's starting to look a little...friendly?

Apple Head Update
Week #4
I think it's done drying. No real change from week 3 to this week. Now, it's time for eyes and hair. Wish me luck. I have a feeling I'm going to suck at this part.

    1. Trust me, this apple head is a visual representation of how I feel most mornings.

  2. Right now the apple head looks very calm, kind of a zen master apple head. But it's only the third week.
